It was indeed a joyful day at Our Lady of the Holy Cross Monastery Illah on Saturday, 14th July 2018. It was a day that ushered in multiple blessings for the Monastery as one, Rev. Monk Cyril Ejezie OCSO was ordained a priest while another, Bro. Mary Levi Enyi OCSO made his solemn monastic profession. The Mass began at exactly 10.30am with Most Rev. Dr. Peter Ebele Okpalaeke presiding, assisted by the Prior of the Monastery, Very Rev. Fr. Ogechukwu I’ve OCSO, the Diocesan Chancellor, Very Rev. Fr. John Ike Aduba, who represented the Diocesan Bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Michael Odogwu Elue, and a host of other priests from within and outside Issele-Uku Diocese. Bishop Okpalaeke, in his homily called both the ordained and the solemnly professed and indeed all priests and religious to be good examples for those who look up to them as models.
